Different types of electric heat tracing have different wiring methods, generally connected to 380V power supply, as follows:
1. Self-limiting temperature: the resistance of this cable becomes larger with the increase of temperature, the power becomes smaller, because of its large current at startup, so the length of use is generally not more than 100 meters, the cable can be cut at will, no matter how long, through the rated voltage can heat.
2. Parallel type: two (or three) parallel insulated copper stranded wires of this cable are used as the power busbar, PTC characteristic heating wire is wound on the skeleton, and the length of every other heating joint is alternately connected for the bus bar to form a continuous parallel resistance, and the length of this cable is about 10-800 meters.
3. Series type: this cable will have the same cross-sectional area, a certain length of parallel insulated copper stranded wire for the power bus and heating core wire, one end of which is reliably shortened, the other end connected to 380V power supply, it forms a star load, according to the actual situation, the three-phase (single-phase) of the electric cable can be separated (split type), or integrated into one. The length of this cable should not be too short, generally used about 500-2500 meters.
4. High temperature electricity: This cable is made of glass fiber or other high temperature resistant materials, with temperature resistance within 300 °C and length ranging from 1-50 meters.
5. Silicone rubber electricity: this heating belt can be used for heating, heating and heat preservation of moist, non-explosive gas places industrial equipment or laboratory tube boxes, tanks and tank pools, oil drums (boxes), heating belt length 1-15 meters.
