Another important reason for the slow temperature drop of the cold storage is the low heat transfer efficiency of the evaporator, which is mainly caused by the thick frost layer on the surface of the evaporator or excessive dust accumulation. Since the surface temperature of the cold storage evaporator is mostly lower than 0 °C, and the humidity of the warehouse is relatively high, the moisture in the air is easy to frost on the surface of the evaporator, or even freeze, which affects the heat transfer effect of the evaporator. To prevent the surface frost layer of the evaporator from being too thick, it needs to be defrosted regularly.
Solution: (1) Stop defrosting. That is, stop the compressor operation, open the warehouse door, let the warehouse temperature rise, wait for the frost layer to melt automatically, and then restart the compressor. (2) Brewing. After the goods in the warehouse are removed, the surface of the evaporator pipe is directly rinsed with tap water with a higher temperature to dissolve or fall off the frost layer. In addition to the poor heat transfer effect of the evaporator due to excessive frost formation, the dust accumulation on the surface of the evaporator due to long-term uncleaned dust is too thick, and its heat transfer efficiency will also be significantly reduced.
