What happens when the fan in the refrigerator does not spin?

Nov 29, 2022

1 The thermostat is broken

2 Put too many things in the freezer, block all the air outlets, so that the air conditioner above cannot be strung down

3 Refrigerator but fluoride

4 The refrigerator is also divided into two types: normal rotation and intermittent, normal rotation means that the fan still works even when it is not cooled, and intermittent means that the fan stops working after no cooling. So without turning, it is also possible that your refrigerator is intermittent style

The working principle of the cooling fan is realized by energy conversion, that is: electric energy→ electromagnetic energy→ mechanical energy → kinetic energy. Its circuit principle is generally divided into many forms, and the performance of the fan will be different depending on the circuit used.

Cooling fan classification

Axial fan

The blades of the axial fan push the air in the same direction as the shaft. The impeller of an axial fan is somewhat similar to the propeller, and when it is working, most of the air flow is parallel to the axis, in other words, along the axis.

Axial fans have the lowest power consumption when the inlet airflow is free air with 0 static pressure, and when running, the power consumption will increase as the air flow back pressure rises. Axial fans are usually installed on the cabinet of electrical equipment, and sometimes integrated on the motor, because the axial fan is compact, can save a lot of space, and at the same time easy to install, so it is widely used.

Its characteristics: high flow rate, medium wind pressure

Centrifugal fan

When the centrifugal fan is operating, the blades push the air to flow perpendicular to the axis phase (i.e., radial), the intake air is in the axis direction, and the outlet air is perpendicular to the axis direction. In most cases, axial fans can be used to achieve cooling, however, sometimes centrifugal fans must be used when the air flow needs to be rotated 90 degrees to exhaust or large air pressure is required. Fans are also centrifugal fans strictly speaking.

Its characteristics: limited flow rate, high wind pressure

Mixed flow fan

Mixed flow fan is also known as diagonal flow to fan, at first glance, mixed flow fan and axial fan is no different, in fact, the intake of mixed flow fan is along the axis, but the outlet is along the axis and the perpendicular axis of the diagonal direction. This type of fan has a higher wind pressure due to the conical blades and outer cover, and at the same size and other comparable performance, centrifugal fans are quieter than axial fans.

Its characteristics: high flow rate and relatively high wind pressure
