The main difficulties of defrosting tubes in cold storage include pipe blockage, pressure difference, distortions and unsteady temperature. Pipe blockage may be caused by dust, debris or ice clogs that may lead to possible water leakage, air leakage and pressure difference. Pressure difference may also be caused when evaporator coils on the side get blocked with dust and debris, resulting in blockage and frozen tubes. Distortions are also possible with copper tube due to the sudden temperature and other external forces. Unsteady temperatures may also cause freeze up and cause pipe blockages and possible water leakage.
