Star and delta connection of electric heating tube

The three-phase power connection of the electric heating tube mainly includes star connection and delta connection. The prerequisite for selection is determined according to the rated phase voltage when the electric heating tube is made.


The star connection method of the three-phase voltage of the electric heating tube is to connect one end of each phase power supply or load to one point, and their other end is the lead wire, which is the three phase wires of the three-phase voltage. For the star connection, the midpoint (called the neutral point) can be led out as the neutral line to form a three-phase four-wire system. It can also form a three-phase three-wire system without leading out. Of course, whether there is a neutral wire or not, you can add a ground wire to become a three-phase five-wire system or a three-phase four-wire system.


The delta connection of the three-phase voltage of the electric heating tube is to connect each phase power supply or load in turn, end to end, and lead each connected point as the three phase lines of the three-phase voltage. The delta connection has no neutral point, nor can it lead to a neutral line, so there is only a three-phase three-wire system. After adding the ground wire, it becomes a three-phase four-wire system.


For the three-phase voltage of star connection, the line voltage is a multiple of the phase voltage, and the line current is equal to the phase current. When the three-phase load is balanced, even if the neutral wire is connected, no current flows through it. When the three-phase load is unbalanced, the neutral wire should be connected, otherwise the voltage of each phase load will be unequal.


For the three-phase voltage of delta connection, the line voltage is equal to the phase voltage, and the line current is equal to the multiple of the phase current.
