Origin of single-head electric heating tube: (single head) or (bullet) electric heating tube (Cartridge Heaters), in China's electric heating industry, there is a model called M3 for a long time. In the late 1990s, due to the wide application of electric heating tubes in China, there are many shapes of electric heating tubes. In southern China, this kind of electric heating tube for a mold with one outlet is called a single-ended electric heating tube, which is very vivid. In foreign countries, it is called a cartridge heater, which is also an image name, because the cartridge case is cylindrical, and one end is blocked.


Application range of single head electric heating tube:

Performance requirements of single-head electric heating pipe:

1 heating time

Under the test voltage, the time for the component to rise from the ambient temperature to the test temperature should not exceed 15min

2 Rated power deviation

Under the condition of sufficient heating, the deviation of the rated power of the components should not exceed the following specified ranges;

For components with rated power less than or equal to 100W: ±10%.

For components with rated power greater than 100W, it is +5% to -10% or 10W, whichever is greater.

3 Leakage current

Cold state leakage current and leakage current after water pressure and sealing test shall not exceed 0.5mA

The thermal leakage current at the operating temperature should not exceed the calculated value in the formula, but the maximum should not exceed 5mA

When multiple components are connected in series to the power supply, the leakage current test shall be carried out with this group of components as a whole.

4 Insulation resistance

Insulation resistance in cold state should not be less than 50MΩ during ex-factory inspection

After the sealing test, the insulation resistance after long-term storage or use should not be less than MΩ.

The thermal insulation resistance at working temperature should not be lower than the calculated value in the formula, but the minimum should not be less than 1MΩ

5 Dielectric strength

The components should be kept under the specified test conditions and test voltage for 1min without flashover and breakdown

6 Ability to withstand switching on and off

The components should be able to undergo 2000 on-off tests under the specified test conditions without damage

7 Overload capability

The component shall withstand 30 cycles of overload test under the specified test conditions and input power without damage

8 Heat resistance

The components should withstand 1000 cycles of heat resistance tests under the specified test conditions and test voltages without damage
