When we heat water at a high temperature, when the water reaches a certain temperature, the water vapor is evaporated, and then the insoluble calcium carbonate is accumulated. The originally dissolved calcium bicarbonate and magnesium bicarbonate decompose in boiling water and release carbon dioxide, which becomes insoluble calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide and also precipitates.
For enterprises, the impact of scale formation is huge. For example, the scale in the boiler is like adding a heat insulation film between the boiler and the water. The boiler steel plate cannot touch the water, and the fire in the furnace keeps burning the steel plate red. At this time, if the scale cracks, the water immediately leaks to the high-temperature steel plate and evaporates sharply, causing the pressure in the boiler to increase sharply, and an accident will occur. Therefore, in factories, an appropriate amount of sodium carbonate is often added to the water, so that the calcium and magnesium salts in the water become precipitated and removed, and the water becomes soft water.

1. Develop good usage habits. When heating the liquid, do not allow the heating area to separate from the liquid to reduce the generation of scale; do not rush the next use when the heating is completed, and cut off the power for a period of time without heating the liquid to reduce the length of the heating tube surface Time dry burning leads to scale production.
2. When the heating environment is prone to produce scale, you can develop the habit of regular maintenance and clean up the scale regularly according to the actual situation of use. When manual cleaning is not possible, magnesium rods can be added to the container to reduce the accumulation of scale.
3. Try to keep the temperature of the heating environment not changing too much. Excessive temperature difference will easily lead to the production of scale. If the heating temperature is not too high, such as domestic water for people's daily use, the water temperature should be kept within 50 degrees. It is difficult to produce scale.
