PET is the abbreviation of Polyethylene Terephthalate, abbreviated as PET or PETP. Chinese means: polyterephthalic acid plastics, mainly including polyethylene terephthalate PET and polybutylene terephthalate PBT. Polyethylene terephthalate is also commonly known as polyester resin, commonly known as polyester resin. It is a condensation of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, collectively referred to as thermoplastic polyester, or saturated polyester together with PBT;
PI Chinese commonly known as polyimide, is an aromatic heterocyclic polymer compound containing imide link in molecular structure, English name Polyimide (referred to as PI), can be divided into benzene type Pi, soluble PI, polyamide-imide (PAI) and polyetherimide (PEI) four categories.
The difference between PET and PI can be divided into the following two places:
First, from the outside of the material: PET electric heating film is a transparent electric heating film, while PI electric heating film belongs to opaque electric heating film;
Second, the difference in temperature resistance: PET is a low-temperature electric heating film, which can withstand a low temperature for a long time, and the maximum temperature of PET electric heating film can reach 80 °C, but for safety reasons, the electric heating film at this time must be equipped with a thermostat, and the electric heating film temperature of PET electric heating film is generally 50±5 °C; The pi film is a high-temperature electric heating film, which can withstand the temperature of 250 °C for a long time, but for safety reasons, the normal temperature of the pi electric heating film is set to 120±5 °C.
