What is the difference between liquid heating tube and dry heating tube?

Dec 07, 2021

Electric heating tubes are mainly divided into two types of liquid electric heating tubes and dry-burning electric heating tubes. Many times their shapes are similar, so let's take a look at the difference between liquid electric heating tubes and dry heating electric heating tubes?

1. The difference in appearance:

Most of the liquid electric heating pipes are U-shaped or special-shaped electric heating pipes with fasteners, and flange electric heating pipes.

Dry-fired electric heating tubes are more common in single-ended straight rod electric heating tubes, U-shaped or special-shaped electric heating tubes without fasteners, finned electric heating tubes, and a very small number of flanged electric heating tubes.

2. The difference in power design:

1. The design of the electric liquid heating tube to determine the power according to the heating medium.

The power of heating water is 3KW per meter of the length of the heating zone of the electric heating tube.

When heating corrosive liquids and water that is harder and easier to scale, the power per meter is about 2KW.

The maximum power per meter of heating oil is 2KW, and the power per meter of poorer and thicker oil is about 1KW.

2. The dry-burning electric heating tube is designed to determine the power according to the fluidity of the heated air:

The power of the dry-burning electric heating tube heated in a confined space is designed to be 1KW per meter.

The electric heating tube with fan circulation in the flowing space is designed to have a power of about 1.5KW per meter.

3. Different material choices:

1. Liquid electric heating tube

Oil:

Oil heating is normally made of stainless steel 304, but some customers who are used for experiments and pursuing low cost can also use carbon steel.

water:

Stainless steel 304 is used for heating tap water, and stainless steel 316 is used for drinking water. For turbid river water or water with more impurities, you can use scale-resistant coating electric heating pipes.

Corrosive liquid:

Stainless steel 316 can be used for liquids with relatively low alkaline acidity and weak corrosiveness.

2. Dry heating electric heating tube:

If it is not used for a long period of time, carbon steel can be used for testing purposes.

The working temperature is 100-300 degrees, and stainless steel 304 is recommended.

The working temperature is 400-500 degrees, and stainless steel 321 is recommended.

The working temperature is 600-700 degrees, and stainless steel 310S is recommended.

If the working temperature is around 700 degrees -800 degrees, it is recommended to use imported materials from Ingles.

From the above introduction, we can know that the shape design, power design and material selection of the dry electric heating tube and the liquid electric heating tube are very different. Knowing the difference between the liquid electric heating tube and the dry electric heating tube can help us quickly Choose the electric heating tube that suits us.
