Is it better to use silicone heating wire silicone or Teflon heating wire?
The advantages of silica gel wire: excellent high temperature and low temperature resistance, excellent electrical insulation performance, excellent chemical stability performance, high voltage resistance, aging resistance, long service life. It is also soft and easy to install. This product has good anti-acid, anti-alkali, anti-fungal characteristics, can resist humid heat environment and a variety of grease, while cable softness performance is good, with waterproof, pressure resistance and other advantages. Disadvantages of silicone wires: poor reliability of the system control system, because the heating cable itself is energized, and the wire temperature will continue to rise (until it blows). Therefore, an external temperature control system must be used to prevent high temperature fusing caused by excessive cable temperature. Therefore, all thermostats configured for heating cables are designed with two sets of temperature control systems. One is to control the indoor ambient temperature, and the other is to control the cable temperature (to prevent the cable from overheating). When one of the two temperature control systems meets the set requirements, the thermostat cuts off the power supply and the heating cable stops working. This control mode of the heating cable makes the safety of the entire system completely dependent on the quality of the matching thermostat (not the product itself). Once the matching thermostat fails, the entire system will inevitably collapse. If the floor covering material is not flame retardant, it will lead to irreparable losses for users.
