Analysis of the causes of bursting electric heating tubes
The surface load of the heating tube is too large, resulting in uneven heating of the magnesium oxide powder carbon resistance wire, and the contact between the resistance wire and the lead rod is not firm, resulting in excessive instantaneous current, incomplete moisture drainage in the tube, and the wall thickness of the water vapor heating tube is not up to standard, and the weld is not firm. This time, because the customer mistakenly connected the electric heating tube that should have been connected to the 220V voltage to the 380V voltage, this will cause the surface load of the tube to be too large, beyond the range that the electric heating tube can withstand, and the heating tube will continue to heat up, eventually causing the heating tube to burst.
The bursting of the electric heating tube refers to the rupture of the metal outer wall of the electric heating tube after the power is applied, and this damage is irreversible and needs to be avoided.
After a long period of investigation and collecting information, we try to analyze the reasons for the burst:
1. Design issues. The power design of the electric heating tube is too high, the internal heating speed is fast, the temperature is high, causing the internal expansion of the electric heating tube, while the surface load of the metal outer tube is too large, which eventually leads to the expansion and cracking of the tube.
2. Material issues – the metal tube itself. Reasons such as defective pipe material, too thin pipe wall, and insufficient temperature resistance of the material itself will cause the pressure resistance level of the pipe to be insufficient.
3. Material problem - magnesium oxide powder. Magnesium oxide powder as a thermal conduction and insulation material, distributed between the heating wire and the heating tube wall, is one of the more important materials of the electric heating tube, magnesium oxide powder itself is not pure enough, too many impurities, moisture, etc. will easily cause heat accumulation tube in a certain position can not be conducted, when it reaches a certain limit will cause burst pipe.
4. Use it in strict accordance with the rated voltage and the correct wiring method, keep it in a dry place, the electric heating tube that has not been used for a long time needs to start with low voltage, and gradually increase the use voltage.
5. For heating tubes for liquid heating, it is necessary to improve water quality, reduce impurities, or clean the surface of the heating tube regularly.
6. The heating tube is a consumable product, and the user should often organize the investigation of hidden dangers, and carry out regular maintenance and replacement of the core heating tube components.
